NADJA is a duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff who have been making music since 2005 which has been variously described as ambient doom, dreamsludge, or metalgaze, a signature sound which combines the atmospheric textures of shoegaze, ambient, and electronic music with the heaviness and volume of metal, noise, and industrial music. Born in Toronto but now based in Berlin, Nadja return home to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary.

VÖLUR is the Toronto experimental doom metal trio of Lucas Gadke (Blood Ceremony), Laura C. Bates and Justin Ruppel who are celebrating the release of their newest collaborative album “Breathless Spirit” with experimental producer CARES. Known for borrowing and mixing elements of free jazz, post rock, black metal, and folk musics through the obliterating lens of doom metal, Völur & Cares’ newest outing sees them continue down this genre defying trajectory.
