It all started in 1816, on Lake Geneva, where four famous writers held the ghost story competition that spawned Frankenstein. But another story came out of this gathering, The Vampyre, which essentially creates the modern Vampire tale.

A scandal ensues over who actually wrote the story. Lord Byron? Percy Shelly? Mary Shelley? Or was it part of the hired help, John Polidori, Lord Byron’s long-suffering personal physician?

In Monster Theatre’s classic irreverent style, we get to the bottom of how and why this story was written.
